Biographical Information[edit]
Vitor Ito came to Japan for high school to further his baseball development and remained there for college. He played for the Brazilian national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. A backup infielder, he got into one game. With a 8-0 lead, the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 7th against Pakistan, he pinch-hit for Lucas Rojo. Facing Asrar Ahmad, he hit a grounder to score Fernando Luciano. As the game was determined by the mercy rule with the next batter, he did not get to play the field.
