2007 Postseason[edit]

Nice job on the 2007 postseason pages --1549

Agreed. - --Mischa 10:11, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

Template:2007 MLB season by team[edit]

Did you get this straight from Wikipedia? Just wondering. Jj137 17:36, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Yeah, but I modified it to be suitable for the Pen. This is purely for navigation. I don't think it violates the agreement I made on the Main Page talk page. That's for content SoxrockTalk/Edits 17:38, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
OK, I see the changes now. Thanks Jj137 17:40, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
FYI, I did apply for AWB at Wikipedia. It's a good software to have "just in case" I assume. SoxrockTalk/Edits 17:41, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Best of luck with it. Jj137 17:43, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Question[edit]

Hi again. Don't mean to bug you but according to recent changes you are the only other one online right now. Is there a list of the people with the most edits? Just curious...thanks Jj137 21:35, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

I don't know. I generally just do it manually, i.e., I look at an editor and see their every 500 edits, and just count back as far as I can. It's tedious, but there is no AWB for that (ok, bad joke, sorry). But who knows? Even though I have close to 8500 edits, I've been here only about two months. SoxrockTalk/Edits 21:41, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Ha ha, I liked that joke! Well, I see what you mean, it is very tedious, but it works. Thanks for all the help- I'll try not to bug you any more. jj137 (Talk) 21:44, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Well, keep in mind JJ, I'm not mad at you. Your not really bugging me. There's no problem with the new guy asking me what it's like around these parts. I just said that "bad timing" thing because my beloved Yanks are losing 11-3 at last check. That's what I'm mad about. Sorry if I mad a wrong impression on you by saying that. SoxrockTalk/Edits 21:51, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Oh no don't worry! I just thought I might be bugging you from asking you a bunch of stuff lately. And very sorry about your Yanks- I know how it feels- my Reds are pathetic year in and year out. jj137 (Talk) 22:14, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Eh, I should've thought about the Reds. But, and no offense to you or the Reds, in 2007, we Yankee fans expect victories, but I can only assume Reds fans hope for wins. That's how bad the Reds are SoxrockTalk/Edits 22:45, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Ha ha yeah, we'd be glad with a record above .500 and second place. Well, at least I would. jj137 (Talk) 22:49, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, sorry about that myself. However, rather the Reds go 100-62 or 62-100, when you lose 12-3, you're not gonna be content, right? SoxrockTalk/Edits 23:02, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
Perfectly right there. It's so annoying to see them lose not only a lot but badly. jj137 (Talk) 23:04, 4 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks Soxrock[edit]

World Series stats[edit]

It might be easier to add all the stats at once and then save instead of adding line by line and saving each time. - --Mischa 10:01, 19 October 2007 (EDT)

Admin[edit]

The basic advantage of being an admin is to edit protected pages like the Today's Mews. - --Mischa 12:52, 21 October 2007 (EDT)

No Stats[edit]

Soxrock, please do not put any player stats on the team pages. It will be impossible for you to keep up with the possible changes that are going to be considered over the next few years and it will just confuse the users. I would ask you to remove all of the team stats tables that you have added to pages like the Braves. Let's stick to more narrative or to things that aren't available on the standard B-R pages. For instance, a couple hundred words on each of the 30 teams seasons would be a good start. --Admin 08:54, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

Rosters[edit]

Thank you for agreeing not to reproduce stats tables on the pages. I think the idea of rosters is a fine one as those are going to change in only very rare cases, and they will provide a valuable navigation tool for the users. Thank you again for your work on the site. --Admin 10:20, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
