Biographical Information[edit]

Tripp Keister was an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina from 1996 to 1998, and head coach at Delaware State University from 1999 to 2000 before assuming an amateur scouting post for the San Diego Padres. He was then head coach at Wesley College from 2006 through 2011. Keister was scheduled to be manager for the newly renamed Fredericksburg Nationals in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19. Keister moved to the Texas Rangers' organization as bench coach of the Frisco RoughRiders in 2023. He moved again to the Kansas City Royals' chain as a coach for the Omaha Storm Chasers in 2024.
