Biographical Information[edit]

OF/1B Trenton Brooks was originally drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 17th round of the 2016 amateur draft, out of the University of Nevada. He played six seasons in the Cleveland system, sitting out the 2020 season when the minor leagues were shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic, and reaching AAA in 2021. He played with the Columbus Clippers in 79 games that season, and another 87 in 2022, hitting .253 and .273 respectively, with 8 and 11 homers.

Before the 2023 season, he was signed by the Oakland Athletics as a minor league free agent and started that season back in AAA with the Las Vegas Aviators, hitting .299 in 94 games with 16 homers and 71 RBIs. On August 21st, he was traded to the San Francisco Giants in return for P Sean Newcomb and finished the year with the Sacramento River Cats, hitting .223 in 24 games. Still in 118 games in the Pacific Coast League, he scored 95 runs, drove in 90 and hit 31 doubles and 22 homers. He was back with Sacramento at the start of 2024 and was hitting .308 with 4 homers and 18 RBIs in 43 games when he was called up to San Francisco. He made his debut starting at first base and hitting 9th against the Philadelphia Phillies on May 28th. He went 0 for 2 before Wilmer Flores pinch-hit for him in the 8th inning.
