Biographical Information[edit]

Tracy Thorpe pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Thorpe was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 11th round of the 2000 Amateur Draft, and he was 0-4 with a 8.54 ERA for the Medicine Hat Blue Jays in his first year. He was 4-13 with a 5.08 ERA for the Charleston AlleyCats in 2001, then he went 5-7 with a 4.18 ERA there in 2002. Thorpe slumped to 1-2 with a 6.68 ERA in 2003, and he was 3-2 with a 3.64 ERA for the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2004. He was 2-1 with a 3.67 ERA in Dunedin in 2005, and he also had a 3.89 ERA for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats with a 2-2 record.

Staying with the Fisher Cats in the next two seasons, Thorpe notched 18 saves with a 2.91 ERA in 54 games in 2006 but he slumped to 10 saves with a 4.61 ERA in 46 appearances in 2007. He then recorded a 2.63 ERA in 13 games for the AAA Syracuse Chiefs, and the Seattle Mariners claimed him after the Jays DFAed him. Thorpe was 1-1 with a 3.67 ERA for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, but his ERA was 9.12 in 19 relief outings for the Tacoma Rainers. He also went 3-1 with a 5.40 ERA for the Cardenales de Lara in winter.

Thorpe signed with the Camden Riversharks in [2009]], and he notched 9 saves with a 3.15 ERA in 26 games. He also pitched 12 games with a 2.31 ERA for the Newark Bears, but his ERA was 5.96 in 12 appearances for the Acereros de Monclova. Thorpe then had a 3.86 ERA in 4 games for the Caribes de Anzoategui in winter, and the Brother Elephants signed him. However, Thorpe’s ERA was 7.00 in 7 games in 2010, then he was released in April. He returned to the Riversharks, and he had a 5.40 ERA with 10 saves in 36 games. Thorpe announced his retirement after the 2010 season.
