Biographical Information[edit]
Toshio Suzuki has played in Nippon Pro Baseball, CPBL and the Japanese national team. His father is NPB catcher Takao Suzuki.
Suzuki was on the Japanese national team in the 1987 Asian Championship and 1989 Intercontinental Cup. The Lotte Orions drafted him in the third round of the 1989 NPB draft. Suzuki spent nearly his entire NPB career in the ni-gun, only had 21 at-bats combined in 5 years. He was released after the 1994 season, then joined the Wei Chuan Dragons of the CPBL in 1995. Suzuki hit .219/.274/.333 with the Dragons, then announced his retirement after the 1995 season.
