Tony Ueda

Biographical Information[edit]
Tony Ueda played for the Brazilian national team in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup. In their opener, he pinch-hit for Silvio Matumoto and struck out against Taiwan's Fang-Hua Lee. He also struck out against the Netherlands' Patrick Klerx as a pinch-hitter. After sitting out two games, he replaced Luis Miyamura as DH against Nicaragua, singling twice versus Luis Miranda to finish at .500. He had Brazil's best average, .056 ahead of Ronaldo Ono, though he did not qualify for the leaders obviously.
