Biographical Information[edit]

Silvio Matumoto was the starting shortstop for the Brazilian national team in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup. He was 5 for 13 with a double, walk, two runs and a RBI as one of their better hitters, but fielded .889. His brother Douglas Matumoto and cousins William Matumoto, Jo Matumoto and Edson Matumoto were all teammates.
