Biographical Information[edit]
Tobias Siegrist has been a catcher-pitcher for the Zürich Challengers, starring the team in the Ligue Nationale A. He also been a regular for the Swiss national team. He hit .450/.500/.650 with 4 runs and 6 RBI in 5 games in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, second on Switzerland in average, tied for second in OBP and tied for first in slugging. He was second to Reto Siegel in RBI. He hit .250/.381/.417 with 4 runs and 7 RBI in five games in the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, tying Marc Carrillo, Franklin Tavarez and Johnny Perigo for the tourney lead. In the 2013 B-Level European Championship, he was Switzerland's top hitter (8 for 17, 2B, BB, 3 R, 2 RBI) and pitched well (6 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 UER) but made 3 errors. He lost his lone decision (to Bulgaria). He finished among the qualifiers in average (3rd behind Ian Young and Enver Lyumakov), slugging (8th), OBP (10th), hits (8, tied for 4th) and total bases (9, tied for 6th).
