Biographical Information[edit]

Tim McKeithan played college ball at Brown University from 2012-2016 and graduated with a degree in business economics. He later earned a master's degree in sports management from the University of Florida.

After graduation McKeithan joined the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as a Player Development Intern. He remained in this position until spring 2017 when he became a Minor League Operations Assistant and worked with the Indianapolis Indians, the AAA affiliate of the Pirates. In 2018 McKeithan was a Baseball Operations Fellow. These various roles led to a 2019 promotion to the major league staff as a staff assistant where he focuses upon hitting analytics. His formal title in 2022 captures this role a little better than staff assistant - Major League Hitting Operations Coordinator. Or maybe not! He remained a coaching staff assistant in 2023.

Tim is the great-nephew of Tim McKeithan, grandson of Jerry McKeithan and brother of Aaron McKeithan and Joel McKeithan.
