Biographical Information[edit]
Tim McKeithan was the third major leaguer out of Duke University. His time there overlapped with that of Billy Werber.
Tim played for the Montreal Royals in 1933. He pitched for the Syracuse Chiefs in 1934.
The book The Independent Carolina Baseball League refers to Tim and his brother Dick, a shortstop, playing together on a team, but the book is not clear as to exactly what team that was.
His brother Jerry McKeithan played in the minors, while his great-nephews Joel McKeithan, Aaron McKeithan and Tim McKeithan all played or coached.
McKeithan was shot to death at age 62.
