Wow - Savino had a long career in the minors. 1929 to 1947, 9 years in the IL or AA. Pretty impressive for a guy who never made it to the big leagues. Rarely topped .300 in a hitter's era and never hit more than 10 homers. A defensive star? Backup catcher? - --Mischa 14:11, 9 December 2007 (EST)
