- 1956 - Tetsuharu Kawakami homers twice in an exhibition game against major league players, the first Japanese player to do so.
- 1972 - In Game 4 of the World Series, the A's rally from a 2-1 deficit in the 9th on four straight hits. Pinch-hitter Angel Mangual drives in the winner.
- 1993 - Paul Molitor falls a double shy of the cycle in a 10-3 win by the Blue Jays over the Phillies in Game 3 of the World Series.
