Biographical Information[edit]
Ted Corbett was a minor league pitcher and manager. He won over 100 games as a hurler.
Corbett's whereabouts prior to 1900 are unclear, though he apparently managed in the 1897 Red River Valley League. He allowed one run in two innings for the 1900 Minneapolis Millers. In 1901, he was 15-9 for the Nashville Vols, finishing sixth in the Southern Association in victories. He was 1-2 for the 1902 Millers. During 1903, the right-hander was 20-5 and hit .205 in a neat statistical coincidence for the Winnipeg Maroons. He was 4th in the Northern League in wins, between Perry Sessions and Peg Bemis. He had a 9-6 record and hit .390 for the 1904 St. Paul Saints.
In 1905, he was 4-4 for the Saints and had a 8-10, 2.42 record for the Portland Giants. He was 15-14 and hit .264 for the 1906 Sioux City Packers. He was with Sioux City again in 1907. He played for the 1908 Denver Grizzlies. In 1909, he went 13-11 for the Winona Pirates. He went 16-7 for the 1910 South Bend Bronchos. He managed the 1911 Rochester Bears to a 40-71 record. In 1912, he was 9-12 for the Beaumont Oilers. During 1913, he wrapped up by going 12-9 and hitting .223 for Winnipeg.
