Biographical Information[edit]
Perry Sessions played four seasons in the minors in the early 1900s. He was in the Northern League in 1902 and 1903, then moved to the St. Paul Saints in the American Association for 1904 and 1905. He was 7-12 and hit .324 between two teams in 1902. In 1903, he went 22-9 and batted .229 for the Grand Forks Forkers. He was third in the league in wins behind Dave Martin and John Bartos. During 1904, he was 27-10 for St. Paul, though his average fell to .164. He tied Charlie Chech for the AA lead in wins; the league's 7 other 20-game winners all played in the majors during their career. He had in impressive 14-1 win-loss record in 1905 for a team whose others hurlers were a combined sub-.500.
