Biographical Information[edit]
The father of Craig Brazell, Ted Brazell was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fifteenth round of the 1970 amateur draft. Originally an outfielder, he was later moved to third base and then to catcher during his ten year minor league career. He spent parts of six seasons at the AA level but never reached AAA.
Following his playing days, he was manager of the Macon Peaches for a portion of the 1980 season and spent the next year at the helm of the Lakeland Tigers. He returned to Macon as the Peaches skipper in 1982 and was back at Lakeland in 1983.
