Talk:Miami Marlins

From BR Bullpen

Should the ballpark list include Joe Robbie Stadium 1987-1996, Pro Player Park 1996, Pro Player Stadium, 1996-2005 and Dolphins Stadium 2005-2006, Dolphin Stadium 2006-2009, Land Shark Stadium 2009-2010) for name accuracy? - --Mischa 10:30, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

No, it's all the same park. On the Dolphin Stadium or whatever page, the various changes of names should be listed, and in yearly team pages, the name at the time should be used. --Philippe 11:36, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

Just so you are aware (though it's probably obvious) starting next season the Florida Marlins will become known as the Miami Marlins, and play in a new ballpark. - Yuriy 43

That's a really ugly logo, if you ask me ! --Philippe 05:33, 12 November 2011 (EST)

I second that. I liked the old one better. - Yuriy 43.

New (kinda famous) owner coming[edit]

I've added that information in the final paragraph of the article. --Philippe (talk) 13:43, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Why is Jose Fernandez in the retired numbers area? -Umbreon9 (talk) 22:47, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Because his number 16 has been retired by the Marlins. Philippe (talk) 22:52, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

It's not listed on B-Ref. -Umbreon9 (talk) 22:58, 6 March 2024 (UTC) [1]

Well, it seems like they went back on their announcement that they would do so, in typical Marlins style. Philippe (talk) 23:02, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

They never officially retired it. But they've never issued it either. Jeff (talk) 23:15, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
