Talk:Matías Carrillo
I would think he'd be another candidate for Minor League Stars Vol. 4. Also - Angel Moreno. - --Mischa 05:04, 6 Apr 2006 (EDT)
Is he really second all-time in the Mexican Pacific League at .293 ? sounds rather pedestrian for a top-rank batting average, especially if Espino is at .329. --Philippe (talk) 03:29, 25 February 2014 (EST)
The LMP has historically been a low-average league, unlike the LMB. See this page for a list of the next couple after Carrillo - .289, .288. It's not unheard of for a guy to be so far above the rest of the league historically in average - see Ichiro Suzuki in NPB (.353, 17 points ahead of Randy Bass) or Italy, where Giorgio Castelli's .421 is 21 points ahead of Craig Stimac (#2) and 37 points ahead of Roberto Bianchi, the next-best with 10+ seasons in Italy - --Mischa (talk) 08:11, 25 February 2014 (EST)
Also, Edalmada didn't add that bit; that had been on the page before. - --Mischa (talk) 08:12, 25 February 2014 (EST)
Thanks for straightening this out. So the LMP is like the 1968 American League ? Put that under Ripley's Believe It Or Not ! --Philippe (talk) 08:23, 25 February 2014 (EST)
