I was trying to find confirmation of the story elsewhere on the net and could not find anything. The link is behind a paywall, so it's hard to say whether his playing tennis was serious or not. If he had been a top-ranked tennis player at one point, there would normally be some random trace of this on the net, but nothing turns up. --Philippe (talk) 13:34, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

The newspaper article just says he retired and took up pro tennis for the second half of the season. I doubt he was top ranked. --Jeff (talk) 14:16, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
