Biographical Information[edit]
Tai-Shan Hong was an early Taiwanese baseball star, noted for his power. He played for the Taiwanese national team in the 1954 Asian Championship and 1955 Asian Championship when Taiwan took Silver. He remained with them for the 1959 Asian Championship then retired. A natural left-hander, he switched to throwing from the right side so he could catch. He was named to the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019.
