Biographical Information[edit]
Sun-jin Oh is an infielder who played for the Hanwha Eagles from 2008 to 2013 and 2016 to 2020. He then joined the Samsung Lions in 2021.
He debuted in the 2008 KBO, going 4 for 30 with a walk in 46 games. He hit .263/.299/.360 in 79 games in 2009, .198/.247/.222 in 108 games in 2010 and .206/.265/.234 in 2011. In 2012, he batted .263/.316/.346 with 33 runs and 41 RBI. He was on the South Korean national team that won Bronze in the 2012 Asian Championship. He batted .230/.315/.301 in 92 games in 2013. He did not play in the KBO the next two years; through 2015, his career line was .236/.293/.301 in 503 G (126 R, 103 RBI). He was back with the Korean squad for the 2015 Asian Championship and did well, going 7 for 15 with 3 walks, 2 ht-by-pitch, 7 runs and four RBI while playing error-free ball at 3B. He was third on the Gold Medalists in hits, behind Woo-sung Lee's 9 and Soo-haeng Jo's 8 and he led them in runs, one more than Ye-il Seo.
