Biographical Information

Steve Alcantara is the son of Roke Alcantara Sr. and the brother of Roke Alcantara Jr.

He was the most-used hurler when the Guam national team won the 2003 South Pacific Games, with ten innings (two ahead of Kin Fernandez), 10th in the event overall. He allowed six hits and seven walks while fanning nine; statistics are unclear as they show one run but three earned runs. He tied Pita Mauwaki and Stivan Eseli for 6th in the Games in Ks and tied Pierre-Yves Galliot and J.R. Mariano for 6th in walks.

In the 2003 Oceania Championship, he allowed seven hits, four walks and seven runs (two earned) while striking out one in four innings. He was in the middle of Guam's staff in ERA, even though only Cliff Raphael allowed more runs in the tournament. He was with Guam when they won Gold at the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games as well. He later worked at Bank of Guam.

He died after falling off his jet ski in Umatac Bay.
