Biographical Information[edit]
Kin Fernandez pitched regularly for the Guam national team.
Fernandez was with Guam when they won Gold in the 1999 South Pacific Games. [1] He played for Guam when they won the 1999 Oceania Championship. [2] He allowed one earned run in eight innings when Guam won Gold in the 2003 South Pacific Games; only Steven Alcantara pitched more innings for Guam. [3]
He was the only pitcher to beat Australia in the 2003 Oceania Championship, getting the win over Darren Fidge with two runs in nine inning. Only Matty Gahan, John Challinor and Shayne Bennett had better ERAs in the event; Fernandez led Guam. [4] He also took Gold in the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games. [5] He pitched in the 2013 East Asian Games. [6] He later coached for Guam.
