Biographical Information

Shunsuke Suzuki pitched in the CPBL and Japanese independent leagues.

Suzuki joined the Fukushima Red Hopes of the Baseball Challenge League in 2019, and he had a 5.79 ERA there. He improved to a 1.58 ERA in 108 1/3 innings in 2020, and he had a 4.77 ERA in 107 2/3 innings in 2021 after jumping to the Shinano Grandserows. He dominated the BC League in 2022, having a 10-1 record with a 1.58 ERA and winning the pitching triple crown. However, he was still undrafted in the 2022 NPB draft, and he recorded a 2.74 ERA in 15 games in 2023.

The Rakuten Monkeys of the CPBL then signed him in 2024, and he debuted against the Wei Chuan Dragons on April 4. He pitched 5 innings, struck out 4 and allowed 3 runs to get the win.
