Biographical Information[edit]
Sheng-Hsiung Lin played for the Taiwanese national team and in the Taiwan Major League.
Lin hit .160/.222/.160 in the 1994 Baseball World Cup and fielded .727, with six errors in eight games. He split short with Yueh-Liang Lin and backed up Sheng-Chieh Hsu at third. [1] He won a Bronze Medal with Taiwan in the 1994 Asian Games and repeated the feat in the 1995 Asian Championship. [2] In the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, he was two for six with a double but again struggled on defense (3 E in 6 TC), backing up Wei-Chih Chen at 1B and Cheng-Lung Yeh at 2B. [3]
When the TML was formed, he played for the Taichung Agan. He hit .223/.263/.283 in the 1997 TML and .122/.172/.134 in 89 plate appearances in 1998. [4] He later coached youth baseball. [5]
