Yeh represented Taiwan in the 1993 World Junior Championship, and 1995 Intercontinental Cup. He batted .400/.571/.600 with five runs in the Intercontinental Cup. The Taipei Gida signed Yeh in 1998, but he didn't get many chances in his rookie year, as he only played 24 games. He was the first local player to hit a home run in his first career at-bat. The Kaohsiung native broke out in 1999, and was selected into the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. He hit .277/.319/.374 with 3 dingers this year. 2000 was Yeh's career year, as he recorded a .291/.338/.393 batting line with a career-high 49 RBI, and won his only Best Ten award as a third baseman. Yeh didn't extend his good condition, as his batting average fell to .215 in 2002, and he only played 48 games. When the two leagues merged, Tsai was assigned to the First Financial Holdings Agan. He only batted .225/.282/.310 in this only season in the CPBL, and the Agan released him on the end of the season. Yeh was a college coach from 2013 to present.
