Biographical Information

Infielder Shad Rolle made it to Double-A in 1976, his last of five years in the New York Mets chain. Rolle, who was a good base stealer, earned his promotion by hitting .290 with 11 homers and 47 RBIs for Wausau in the Midwest League in 1975. He then hit just .226 for Jackson in the Texas League, though, and that was the end of his pro career. Overall, he hit .258 with 19 homers.
