Santo Domingo Este, Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo Este, or East Santo Domingo in English, is located immediately east of the capital Santo Domingo in the south of the Dominican Republic. It became the capital of Santo Domingo Province in 2001 when that province was carved out of the the Distrito Nacional.
