Biographical Information[edit]
Odális Pérez was on the 2009 World Baseball Classic roster for the Dominican Republic but did not pitch in the Classic.
Perez was the first pitcher ever whose first major league win came in the postseason. He has been followed by Francisco Rodriguez, Josh Kinney and David Price.
On March 10, 2022, he was the victim of a fatal fall from a ladder at his home in the Dominican Republic; he was 43.
