Santiago (Cuban Players League)

The Santiago team in the 1947-1948 Cuban Players League folded on December 15 with a 7-14 record. They were not lacking for talent, though. Lazaro Salazar was the manager and players included Booker McDaniels (3-2), Sandy Consuegra (2-4), Alex Carrasquel (1-3), Leon Day, Ray Brown (0-1), Luis Olmo, Bobby Estalella), Danny Gardella, Parnell Woods and Chico Garcia. Most wound up with other teams after Santiago folded.
