Biographical Information[edit]
Salvador Rosado (nicknamed "YoYo") was a Cuban baseball player who played as a pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman in the Cuban Winter League from 1899 to 1905. He led the CWL with 3 losses for Almendarista in 1899. He was 11-7 for the champion San Francisco club in 1900, leading with 23 games pitched and tying Luis Padrón for the most complete games (17). He was second to Padrón's 13 in wins. He lost to the Brooklyn Superbas and Wild Bill Donovan when they visited Cuba.
His seven losses for Club Fé in 1902 led the league, tied with José Muñoz. He was 1-0 in 1903 and 1-2 for Almendares the next winter. Back with Fé for his final season, he had a 3-8, 2.23 record. In the Deadball Era, he had the second-highest ERA of any qualifier and was second to Muñoz in losses.
