Biographical Information[edit]

Ryan Lee spent two years in the minors.

Lee hit .409 in high school. He hit .273 for Cal Poly in 2006 and .292 in 2007. In the summer of '07, he stole 27 bases in 30 tries for the Kelowna Falcons, leading the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League in swipes. Ryan batted .357 as a junior with 13 steals in 18 tries, then led the Northwoods League with 30 steals (caught twice) in another speedy summer. His senior year, Lee put up a .328/.401/.419 line with 65 runs in 58 games and 27 steals in 33 attempts. He led the Big West Conference in steals, tied for 32nd in NCAA Division I. Lee was picked by the Chicago White Sox in the 41st round of the 2009 amateur draft; the scout was Gary Woods.

Ryan split the summer between the Bristol Sox (.292/.351/.382 in 44 G, 17 SB, 5 CS) and Kannapolis Intimidators (.185/.200/.209 in 20 G). He played in 2010 for the Great Falls Voyagers (.331/.366/.420 in 49 G, 15 for 17 in SB) and Kannapolis (5 for 24, 2 BB, 2 SB). He signed with Germany's Haar Disciples for 2011. He debuted on April 2, going 2 for 5 with a run and making an error at short in a 8-6 loss to the Buchbinder Legionäre.
