Pitcher Ryan Baker began his pro career in the Atlanta Braves organization with the Jamestown Jammers in 2000, going 4-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 21 appearances. The following year, he led the Macon Braves with 18 saves. After the 2002 season, he was traded to the Florida Marlins along with Tim Spooneybarger for Mike Hampton. While pitching for the Carolina Mudcats in 2003, he combined with Ryan Snare and Steve Kent to throw a no-hitter against the Mobile Bay Bears on April 8th. He briefly reached the AAA level with the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2004 and finished his pro career in 2005.
