Biographical Information

Steven Kent has pitched only one year in the majors, but appeared in 34 games that year. He spent the entire 2002 season with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays after having been selected in the 2001 Rule V Draft. Through 2009, he is one of relatively few players listed as born in West Germany.

During 2009 he pitched part of the season for Newark.

He attended Florida International University, and was the only pitcher from that university to break into the majors in the period 1997-2006.
