Biographical Information

Rutger Zwaal played for Mr. Cocker HCAW in the Dutch Major League from 2007-2009. He had been on the Amsterdam Pirates roster in 2001 but left the team before the season began. In 2007, he was 2-2 despite a 7.11 ERA for HCAW. In 2008, he had a 0-1, 4.76 record. His 19 pitching appearances tied Berry van Driel and Dave Draijer for 8th in the league. The next year, Rutger fell to 2-2, 6.31 with 48 hits and 19 walks in 35 2/3 IP. He tied Dushan Ruzic and Maarten Mulder for 8th in the Hoofdklasse in games pitched.
