He has been a scorer in the league for over 30 years and has maintained an English/Dutch news site on Hoofdklasse for over a decade. He has been a sports journalist for De Telegraaf for over 20 years. He is also the author of Honkbalgids 2000. He is the brother of 1988 Olympian Ronald Stoovelaar.
