Roberto Romero played in the US and Venezuela.
Romero went 0 for 2 for the 1966-1967 Navegantes del Magallanes. Signing with the Chicago White Sox, he hit .282/.382/.295 with 11 runs and 6 RBI in 31 games for the 1967 GCL White Sox, going 6-for-7 in steal attempts. He fielded .977 in 20 G at 1B and .778 in 5 games in the outfield. In 1967-1968, he was 3 for 14 with a run and RBI for Magallanes. He was 0 for 1 for the '68 Appleton Foxes to end his US career.
He batted .279 and slugged .326 in 43 at-bats for the 1968-1969 Llaneros de Acarigua; despite his limited time, he won Venezuelan League Rookie of the Year. He split 1969-1970 between the Aguilas del Zulia (0 for 3) and the Tiburones de La Guaira (7 for 21, 2B). In 1970-1971, he was 0 for 4 for the Tiburones. He hit .253/?/.287 in 87 at-bats over 65 Venezuelan League games.
