Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Rob Lopez was undrafted, but led his league in ERA in each of his first three seasons. He was signed by the Cincinnati Reds in June of 1985, then led the 1985 Pioneer League with a 1.32 ERA for the Billings Mustangs. In 1986 he moved up to the Tampa Tarpons and led the Florida State League with a 1.92 ERA. Lopez split 1987 between the Vermont Reds and the Nashville Sounds and led the AA Eastern League with a 2.40 ERA. Lopez was also with Nashville from 1988 to 1991, but never made the majors.
