Biographical Information[edit]
Rob Flanigan played one season in the pro ranks. After two years at junior college, he hit .403 with 20 homers, 73 runs and 74 RBI in 60 games at North Georgia College and State in 2008. He set a school record for home runs, made All-Peach Belt Conference, was two homers behind NCAA Division II leader Chad Jacobsen and made All-American for Division II as a backup infielder as Jacobsen was picked at 1B. He was the first All-American from North Georgia College. The San Francisco Giants took him in the 29th round of the 2008 amateur draft. He hit .223/.287/.330 with one homer and 32 strikeouts in 103 AB over 31 games for the AZL Giants that summer, backing up at 1B and DH.
