Biographical Information[edit]

Rigoberto Loya played in the Mexican League and the CPBL.

Loya began his professional career with the Monterrey Sultanes, and he was 3-5 with a 4.55 ERA in 1999. He went 0-3 with a 5.88 ERA in 2000, then he was 6-6 with a 5.78 ERA in 2001. Loya improved to 6-7 with a 3.75 ERA for the Dos Laredos Tecolotes in 2002, then he returned to Monterrey and had a 9-6 record with a 4.03 ERA in 2003. The Chinatrust Whales then signed him, but Loya allowed 5 runs in 2 innings in his only appearance in 2004. He then went 3-6 with a 6.84 ERA back with Monterrey in 2005, and he announced his retirement after having a 5.18 ERA in 17 games for the San Luis Potosi Tuneros in 2006.

He had gone 32-37 with a save and a 5.01 ERA in 157 games as a pro.
