Rich Arena has been a scout and a minor league coach.

Arena was head coach at Tampa Catholic High School in 1986-1987 and Tampa Preparatory School in 1987.

Arena was a scout and minor league coach for the New York Yankees from 1989-2006. He was a coach for the Oneonta Yankees in 1989, Greensboro Hornets in 1990, GCL Yankees in 1992, Prince William Cannons in 1993, and Tampa Yankees in 1996.

Arena was 53-18 as head coach at Tampa Catholic High School from 2007-2009. In 2010-2011, he was director of scouting for Team One Mangement. He was hitting coach for the Jamestown Jammers in 2012 and assistant hitting coach for the Jacksonville Suns in 2013-2014 [1]. He was also hitting coach of the Batavia Muckdogs in 2013 [2] and Jacksonville in 2015-2016. He moved to the New York Yankees' chain with the GCL Yankees West in 2018. Arena was a defensive coach for the FCL Marlins in 2022.
