Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Reno Barbisan pitched in the minor leagues from 1950 to 1956, spending most of his career (1951-1955) with the Idaho Falls Russets of the Class-C Pioneer League. The Canadian began his career with the St. Cloud Rox of the Northern League and ended it with the Pioneer League's Missoula Timberjacks.
Barbisan had three seasons of ten or more victories, going 17-12 with a 3.86 ERA in 40 games (29 starts) in 1953, 15-8 with a 4.37 ERA in 34 games (26 starts) in 1954 and 11-13 with a 3.83 ERA in 41 games (20 starts) in 1956. He also had some success at the plate, hitting .270 in 89 at-bats in 1953 and .275 in 80 at-bats in 1954. Overall, he was 69-63 with a 4.23 ERA in 213 appearances over seven seasons.
