Idaho Falls Russets

From BR Bullpen

The Idaho Falls Russets began play in the Pioneer League in 1940. After the club and the league ceased operations during World War II, they resumed play in 1946. Led by pitcher Ken Kimball's 26 wins, they captured a league title in 1952. Despite posting the best regular-season record in 1960, the Russets lost the title to the Boise Braves in the playoffs. After the 1961 season, the club became a New York Yankees affiliate and became known as the Idaho Falls Yankees.
