Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Lilio Marcucci played for the Sacramento Solons from 1944 to 1946. He spent the next two years with the Stockton Ports, hitting .334 with 16 homers and 87 in 1947. He later played with the Idaho Falls Russets, Portland Beavers, Victoria Athletics, Modesto Reds, and Reno Silver Sox as well as managing several years in the minors. In 1950, he hit .367 with 124 RBI for Idaho Falls.

Following his baseball career, Marcucci worked as a manager in several Reno, Nevada casinos. He died at age 77 from complications from diabetes.
