Missoula Timberjacks

From BR Bullpen

The Missoula Timberjacks represented Missoula, Montana in the Pioneer League for five years, from 1956 to 1960. Their best season was 1958, when they went 70-59 under manager Jack McKeon and featured pitcher Jim Kaat, who led the league in strikeouts and ERA. However, the club never made the playoffs in their entire existence.

Despite Kaat and McKeon's major league success, the Timberjacks' most famous alumni is perhaps country singer Charley Pride, who briefly played for the club in 1960.
