Biographical Information

Rene Bodalec has played for the Croatian national team.

Bodalec was 2 for 5 with a double, run and three RBI for Vindija Varadzin in the 2018 Federations Cup. The teenager struggled in the 2019 CEB Cup, fanning in six of ten at-bats and making two errors in ten chances. He drew one walk. He debuted for the national team in the 2021 European Championship. In his first game, he replaced Philip Smith late in a no-hitter loss to Spain, striking out against former major leaguer Rhiner Cruz his lone plate appearance. He had one put-out at catcher. His other game, he took over behind the dish for Smith late in a loss to the Czech national team.
