Biographical Information[edit]
Ray Hernandez pitched two seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks' organization before a torn rotator cuff ended his career. He then spent time as an assistant coach at Cosumnes River College.
Hernandez became a "development coach" in the Houston Astros' chain with the Fresno Grizzlies in 2018. He then became a manager with the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2019 and Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2021.
Hernandez is the brother of major leaguer David Hernandez.
