Biographical Information[edit]
Randy Whisler was drafted in 1985 and played two years in the minors in the Toronto Blue Jays' chain.
Whisler was an assistant coach at Oklahoma State University in 1988-1989. He was a coach in the Texas Rangers' chain in 1990-1994 for the Gastonia Rangers (1990-1991) and Tulsa Drillers (1992-1994) and managed the AZL Padres from 1997 to 1999. He was a coach for the Las Vegas Stars in 2000 and was the Florida Marlins’ minor league infield coordinator from 2001-03 [1]. Whisler was the Cincinnati Reds first base coach in 2004 and 2005. He then coached the Oklahoma RedHawks in 2007-2008
