Biographical Information[edit]

The youngest of the four Rodgers men of Nassau who played pro baseball was Randy Rodgers. He followed Andre Rodgers, the first Bahamian big-leaguer, Adrian Rodgers, and Lionel Rodgers. A fifth brother, Roy, was in spring training with the San Francisco Giants organization in 1967 but was cut on the last day due to a reoccurring injury that would not heal, so he did not play pro ball.

Randy, an infielder, hit .209 in 98 games for Gastonia and .187 in 25 games for Salem. Both were Class A farm clubs of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
