Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Rafael Valenzuela played four seasons in the Houston Astros' organization. He then returned to University of Arizona as an assistant coach.
He was a coach with the GCL Rays in 2016 and early 2017. He spent some time with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2017 before becoming the Durham Bulls third base coach in June. In 2018, he was initially assigned to the Hudson Valley Renegades, but spent the season coaching the Princeton Rays. He then managed the GCL Rays in 2019 and was appointed to manage the Renegades in 2020 before the season was cancelled. He then managed the FCL Rays in 2021-2022.
